6-8:30 - Free Play - Children will be allowed to use any of the play centers.
8:30 - Menu will be posted. Please bring an alternative if you do not wish your child to eat the meal provided.
9:00 - 9:30 - Circle Time - We will sit together and sing songs related to our calendar, season and weather activities. We will begin some letter and number recognition. Children will be given time to tell the group any news they wish to share.
9:30 - 9:45 - Music and Movement - Children will be encouraged to use their imaginations to imitate animals, vehicles, vegetation and other things as they move to music. We will also do some movement songs such as IM A LITTLE TEA POT and HEAD AND SHOULDERS.
9:45 - 10:00 - Snack
10:00 - 10:30 - Craft - We will sit together and do a craft related to our theme for the week.
10:30 - 12:00 - Outdoor Play - The duration of Outdoor Play time will vary with the weather. If the weather does not permit us to go outside, we will do a craft or Free Play. Please note that children MUST HAVE sunscreen to go outdoors. On very hot and sunny days, outdoor play will be limited to NO MORE that 30 minutes to avoid heat related stresses to the children.
12:00 - 12:30 - Lunch
12:30 - 1:00 - Story time - I will read to the children or they may choose a book and find a quiet place to "read" themselves.
1:00 - 3:00 - Settle for naps or rest- I will settle those who nap into their places and resting children will lay down with books or crayons
3:00 - 4:00 - Snack and Outdoor play - we will have a snack and move to outdoor play.
4:00- 6:00 - Free play - Children will be allowed time to play with the toys and play centers. Music will be played if children would like to be part of the "band" or dance and sing.
